I first met Jake by chance when he was working on a personal project that FT picked up - on London's Top baristas. We hit it off straight away. Mainly because he's almost as obsessed with coffee as I am. But more so because he gets stuff, he gets LIFE. We've been working on a couple of wicked projects together and not only is he insanely awesome at what he does, but a total professional and super straight up human - no bullshit talk. That's rare.
His next project that I've been lucky enough to catch a glimpse of moved me. Its SO good. He captures insane moments that really raise questions about the ideas we have about our cultures, our beliefs of who we are, where we come from and what that all means. I feel like his photos really capture the essence of the current urban culture and time we live.
He's a creative who can really see the "big picture" and its great to talk with someone like that. He has a rich and dynamic life experience too. I've gained a lot of knowledge and insight just by being around someone like him so I hope you check out his upcoming work and get a little inspired too.
