BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

There is never enough time in the day - but its important to take time out of a busy schedule - so I guess the challenge is finding balance.

BEST ADVICE?

Work hard to make your dreams comes true and be nice to people

Jason and I have known each other since I lived in Melbourne years back. He used to frequent Batch Espresso, where I was GM and head barista. Some of the best people I met was during this time and Jason was one of them.

Although, now he is more widely known as "Mr Jason Grant" or "MJG" since becoming somewhat of a celebrity interior stylist. Currently, he is based in Sydney and has worked in style and interior for as long as I’ve known him, but not at the caliber he is at today. It was over ten years ago Jason discovered what he calls "magical people" called stylists and knew thats what he wanted to do. His work has since been featured in Vogue Living, Insideout Magazine, Marie Claire and so many more.  His focus is on appreciating what you already have at home and using it in new and different ways by looking at who you are and what you love.

With daily life keeping us both really busy on opposite sides of the world, we didn’t keep in contact as much as I would’ve liked. I knew he was busy being fabulous, but I didn’t know how fabulous until I saw a feature on him and his interior styling work in The Sunday Times, Style pull-out a couple years back. I was super proud of him as I know he has worked consistently very hard.

Now, with two books out and many other projects under his belt and on the way, I’m so impressed and amazed by his progress and the huge success he’s had in a relatively short period of time – which is fuel for anyone to get off their butt and do more of what they love! It’s not only inspiring to see in a person, but to see his progress has been super cool.

But I guess what has always struck me most about Jason is his sunny and positive attitude and supportive nature. It actually comes across in everything he does. He’s SUCH a sweet heart and a gentle, lovely and cool guy.

He came by to see me at work a few weeks ago while he was in London. He hasn’t changed a bit! It was so great to see him and hear about his travels, book launches and upcoming projects. So check him out, get inspired at home or just share in his journeys. You (and your house/flat) will be lighter and brighter and oh so much more stylier for it. #4Real

Check him out.
